Brief
Create a campaign that calls on the government to fund early access hubs.
Strategy
Hundreds of thousands of young people struggle with their mental health and too often can’t get support when they first need it. Yet, successful ‘Early support hubs’ already exist in some areas of England. Building on these with consistent, long-term funding feels like a no brainer. Therefore, we simply had to say it how it is and provide a bold rallying cry that young people, supporters and politicians alike could understand and get behind.
Idea
The #FundTheHubs campaign called on the government to fund a network of early support hubs across the country. A hero video was created, produced by Objekt Films, supporters were invited to write to their MPs to demand action and activists went to Downing Street to hand in an open letter they wrote to Rishi Sunak MP, signed by 5,000 young people, urging him to invest in early mental health support in the October Spending Review.
