YOUTH CLIMATE STRIKES

We answered the call to take part in a creative workshop organised by the UK Student Climate Network, Good For Nothing and Glimpse. The brief was simple, to persuade 1 million adults to step up alongside the youth and climate strike on 20th September, and the thought behind our idea was just as straight forward…

‘We either step up to the plate and take action, or we sit back and watch the planet be destroyed.

Do or don’t. In or out. Defiance or destruction. Future or fucked.
Turn up and save the planet, or sit at work and watch it burn.’

We used pairs of short, witty, provocative statements to dramatise this stark choice we are all faced with, along with a bold, black & white visual identity that challenged adults to step up to the plate and join the 20th Sept strikes. We created assets that were shared across digital 6 sheets and social, along with heading down to support the strikes ourselves, led by Cooper, a placard wielding dachshund.

GENERAL ELECTION

It’s Our Time set an open challenge to the creative industry to mobilise young people who care about climate to register to vote in the 2019 UK General Election. We spent a day brainstorming ideas and creating a couple of our favourites for others to grab and share including this parody of Shia Labeouf’s ‘Just doooo it’ rant.
