Sharing life-changing stories to promote the health and wellbeing benefits of social prescribing
CLIENT: NASP
PROJECT: SOCIAL PRESCRIBING & ME
The National Academy for Social Prescribing (NASP) connects people to social activities, groups and services that make a difference. From walking groups to debt advice, it’s about improving health and wellbeing for people across the UK. And with so many having experienced isolation during Covid, NASP’s cause has never been more relevant.
NASP wanted to raise awareness of the services they offer and so asked us to develop a campaign that they could use across digital platforms and social media. We knew we had to bring to life the amazing stories of people who have seen their lives change through social prescribing. Stories we knew could be used to inspire others.
‘Social Prescribing & Me’ reveals the stories of Linda, Evrill and Shiv who have each used social activities to benefit their wellbeing and mental health.
We produced a hero video, shot across the UK, along with individual edits of Linda, Evrill and Shiv, delving deeper into their stories and the activities that changed their lives.
A bespoke hand-drawn typeface was created for the campaign and photography was shot by Rachael Silvester.
In addition, the campaign has been used for podcasts and PR content and will continue life in 2024 through leaflets and posters that will be used in GP surgeries, libraries and leisure centres across the country.
“Thanks again for your fantastic work – everyone here was delighted with the results!”
